Tinago Falls in Iligan City

Tinago Falls is one of the most beautiful falls in Iligan City aside from the Maria Cristina Falls

Buru-un, Brgy. Ditucalan, Iligan City.

Description:

Approximately 240 feet (73m) high.

How to get there:

From the city proper ride a jeepney (Iligan-Buru-un) tell the driver to drop you at Buru-un Talipapa. At the talipapa, you will ride "habal-habal" (a motorcycle used as the means of transportation), tell the barker to that you want to go to Tinago Falls.

Just make sure that you are in good condition because it will take a lot of walking getting to Tinago Falls but after seeing its blue lagoon, you will say that its worth it.

The Maria Cristina Falls in Iligan City


Maria Cristina Falls is the Pride of Iligan City

It supplies 70% of Mindanao's electricity.


Location: (Iligan City, Mindanao, Philippines)


Maria Cristina Falls is located 9.3 kilometers away southwest of the city proper at the boundaries of Brgys. Maria Cristina, Ditucalan and Buru-un.

How to get there:

From the city proper, take a jeep (Iligan-Buru-un) and ask the driver to drop you at the crossing going to Maria Cristina Falls. From the crossing of the national highway and road leading to Maria Cristina Falls is the National Power Corporation gate which is some 150 meters from the highway. You shall be asked to register at the gate, fill-up some forms and leave an ID. In exchage, you shall be given an ID Pass which you will be asked to wear at all times while inside the premises. From the gate to Agus VI Hydro-electirc power plant where you shall be viewing the falls (800 meter walk)
